There's a serious crash and an overturned vehicle delaying traffic on Route 1 in Edison, authorities said.

The crash occurred southbound between Parsonage Road and Grandview Avenue shortly before noon on Thursday, May 23, Edison police said.

There was an unconfirmed report that a motorist was trapped in the crash.

All lanes were closed and detoured, according to 511nj.org.
